The Airport Floor

So we decided to do everything the cheapest we could and this includes getting from A to B. So, after work we grabbed some food and headed to the bus station. Once we were there we got a beer and headed to our platform. There was a lot of confused people at the stance milling around with pieces of paper. Time ticked past the deparure time and went, Alona checked her email and the bus was going to be 75 minutes late.

Once the bus had arrived we took our seats and put our headphones in. The journey went fast and we made it to Budapest. Fatigue was starting to hit me as I had been up since 5 that morning and it was now hitting 11pm! Outrageous stuff.

We got off the bus and headed to the train station. The roads were quiet and it was fairly dark but we had been there a few times before so It wasn't too scary! We walked through the train station and over to the ticket office and much to our surprise everything ran till the early hours..Happy days!

We got on a metro and then went for a late night pizza. After a few beers we got on the night bus to the airport. Tiredness had set in and we knew we had to wait on the airport floor till the morning.

As we strolled up to the airport we still had about 7 hours till our flight. We found a quite corner and sat down. It wasn't long before we were both beyond shattered as it was creeping up to 1 in the morning... then it was 2. We decided to try sleep for a bit but the floor was as soild as a rock (as expected, its a floor.) We managed to sleep for about 20 mininutes untill Alona woke me and told me she was a little worried for my circulation as I looked like a crumpled up can!

Tragedy!

Side note: Why if there is limited seats would you sleep across 4 of them? It's outrageous patter! Anyway, we saw that on the board we could go through security at half 5. We got a coffee and waited till exactly half 5 to go though security. And for the first time ever Alona didn't beep! Wayyyy! As we still had about 2 hours untill we got on the plane, we set up camp 2.0.

As we boarded our flight and sat down I fell straight asleep. I was woke vaguely by turbulence but my tiredness won and I didn't wake till we landed. Alona later told me the turbulence had been so bad that she wonderd how I slept though it. She said the whole plane was bouncing like mad and my head was swinging about!

As we dismounted the plane and headed into a very hot Montenegro. There was no airport bus but we found a taxi to the center and went for some food. Then onto a bus for the next 2 hours and as the bus drove though the stunning countryside we dozed in and out of slumber trying to stay awake to see the views. It was about 10 in the morning by this point and the whole bus looked pretty knackered. Eventually the entire bus was asleep so I followed suit. We arrived slightly dishevelled. We checked in and slept for 2 hours before going out exploring!

Only then did Alona decide to tell me there was a direct flight but she chose the cheaper option by 20 euros!

I look like a dishevelled spoon!
